Palatopharyngeal curve

The Palatopharyngeal curve is made up of the following structures:

• Hard palateThe palate separates the oral cavity from the nasal cavity.
• Soft palate
• Posterior oropharyngeal wall
• Posterior laryngopharyngeal wallPart of the palatopharyngeal curve where the backplate or posterior cuff of an LMA abuts when in situ.
